Student Organizations at GW:
LATAM
is a professional, research and social forum dedicated to bringing together students who share a broadly defined interest in Latin America and the Caribbean and promoting awareness and knowledge of the region’s trials, contributions and diversity. We advocate for solidarity among all Latin American-focused student organizations by strengthening student connections to the Latin American and Hemispheric Studies academic program and providing an intellectual forum for open dialogue about Latin America-related topics at The George Washington University. BRASA
is the GW Brazilian Club which serves to bring together all those interested in Brazilian culture and Portuguese language. They hope to spark general interest in Brazilian culture through the promotion of its language, cuisine, music, literature, and films. Caribbean Student Association (CSA)

Alianza
is an organization that promotes the unity and togetherness of the Afro-Latinx community, who are often marginalized, to be seen. Through programming, they aim to share their stories and experiences with one another to create lifelong bonds and also to educate the larger community to make their presence felt on campus. Lastly, they are an organization that promotes the advancement and professional development of the Afro-Latinx community by connecting them to potential resources and allies. GW Haiti
is founded with the established purpose of supporting the enrichment of Haitian culture here on campus and seeks to serve as a hub for both Haitian-American students as well as other students at GW interested in Haitian affairs and culture by fostering discussions about the nation’s traditions, and transformative role in world history.
